11th October 2017

Alice Standish has had a fantastic 2017 in cycling with 1st place finishes in the Doncaster, Tameside, Ixworth and Fakenham Criterium Races. Alice has also represented East Midlands at the UK School Games and is hoping to compete abroad next year.

Judoka, Ethan Steele, has also had a successful year winning medals across the country and even winning the 'Young Sportsman of the Year' Award at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards. He has also been selected for the Regional England Development Squad.

Isabella Vinter received her first donation from Adam's Foundation as she aims to become part of the East Midlands Triathlon Team next year. Despite being only 12 years old, Isabella has already competed in regional and national events in cross country and open water swimming.

Luke Easton has a great chance of competing for GB in karate at the 2020 Olympic Games. He is already competing at a world level and has been selected seven times to represent England in the Junior World Championships. As well as competing, he has already begun coaching karate to younger competitor as his competition costs are largely self funded.

Wheelchair Tennis player, Matthew Murray, has received funding from the foundation that will go towards competition entry, travel and hotel costs as he aims to play compete in ITF events in Europe in 2018. Matthew is already part of the Tennis Foundation Development Squad and has competed in the British Open for Juniors.

Anna Daly has had another successful year at the Royal Ballet School and has received support from Adam's Foundation to help with her costs for the next 12 months. Anna has recently won the prestigious Kenneth Macmillan Choreographic Award for 2017 which is a huge achievement.

Golfer, Courtney Martland, has received her first donation from Adam's foundation that will go towards competition and training costs. Courtney has had a great 2017 and continues to reduce her handicap. 

Adam's Foundation has also made another significant donation to the Lincolnshire Elite Athlete Programme which offers various types of support as well as financial help.

The Lincolnshire Bombinos are a roller derby team in one of the world's fastest growing sports which is also being considered for future inclusion at the Olympics. Five of the team are travelling to Copenhagen in August to participate in the first ever Junior European Roller Derby Tournament and have received financial support from Adam's Foundation.


In 2017, Matthew Bates was chosen to represent the Royal Ballet School in Japan and was the only boy to perform in the Royal Ballet Schools Solo's Evening! In the next 12 months he is hoping to complete his second year assessments so he can make the graduation year.

Swimmer, Matthew Broughton, has received support from the Foundation to help with his training, travel and competition costs. He has achieved 9 qualifying times for the 2017 British Summer Championships. He has also been nominated for Young Sportsman of the Year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards this year.

James Leaper is the first power-lifter to be sponsored by Adam's Foundation. James has recently won the national classic bench press competition for under 66kg males. He has now qualified the Commonwealth Bench Competition in September. His funding will go towards travel and entry fees for competitions.

First time recipient, Joe Laverick, is a Schoolboy National time-trial champion and also finished 17th at the British Cycling National series junior tour of the Mendips stage race. The funding from Adam's Foundation will allow him to compete in races of higher quality.

Rebekah Ward has made the switch from Athletics to Triathlon and finished 2nd in her age group in her first event last year. She has recently qualified for the World Sprint Triathlon Championships which are taking place in Rotterdam in September.

April 4th 2017

Footballer, Jennifer Evans has received support from Adam's Foundation to help with her travel costs to the 2017 Deaflympics. Jennifer has previously won a bronze medal at the 2016 World Cup.  

Current U21 National Champion, Tom Jarvis, received support to help him reach at top 15 world junior ranking in the next year in table tennis.

Elias Khanouss has been sponsored as he aims to dance at World Championship level in Irish Dancing. The dedicated dancer will use the funding for competition travel and clothes costs.  

Swimmer, Caitlin Mullins, won 8 medals at the County Championships in February Championships and hopes to achieve a National Qualifying time in the next 12 months. Her sponsorship will go towards competition fees and a racing costume.

Thomas Talbot has received support from Adam's Foundation to help with his competition costs in National and International racerunning - an adapted form of athletics for people with cerebral palsy. In 2016, Thomas represented England at the CPISRA 20th International Racerunning Camp and the European Championships.

Alice Barnsdale is currently ranked 6th in the UK at the Hammer Throw at Under 20 level despite still only being 17. Megan is looking to achieve a podium at the English Schools Championships and then go for a place at the World U20 Championships in 2018.  

Athlete, Megan Ellison, has received support from Adam's Foundation as she looks to qualify for the English Schools Competition in the 800m. Megan also runs in the 1500m and 3000m. In 2016 she became the North Midlands Cross Country Champion as well as the Lincolnshire County 800m Champion.

Talented squash player, Harry Falconer, has received support that will go towards his travel and accommodation costs. Harry is currently the England Number 1 at U19 level and will play for the England U19 Team at the European Championships in Portugal this year.

Swimmer, Ethan Grace-Riches, has recently been selected for the England Talent Programme. His funding will go towards his aim of competing at Midland Level in May and hopefully Nationally in the summer.

Oliver Jackson has received support to enable him to compete in sprint and marathon events as a canoeist with his own paddles. In September 2016, Oliver received the Paddle Ability Under 16 Trophy for East Midlands.

Keele Markland has gained support from Adam's Foundation that will go towards his target of competing at the World Dwarf Games. Keele has recently won Gold Medals in Football, Basketball and Hockey events and was a Disabled sports person runner up at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards.

Seamus Sheard who is a standard distance triathlete, has already represented GB at International level and was the 17th Under 20 at the World Championships in Mexico last year. His funding will go towards equipment, nutrition and travel costs in 2017.

Swimmer, Maya Westlake, has received further support as she looks to reach the commonwealth games in 2018. Maya was recently selected to represent GB in in Texas in January and also won the 200m Freestyle at the British Nationals.

Anna Daly has received further support as she continues to dance at the Royal Ballet School. Anna performed at Holland Park and the Royal Opera House in the schools final performance of the year.

2016 British Aquathlon champion, Emily Moss, has received support as she aims to represent GB in the European and World Championships next year. The funding will be used to compete in international events.

Emily Patch has had a fantastic year in triathlon and in August became British Under 20 standard distance triathlon champion. Emily has already qualified for next years European Championships and is hoping to qualify for the World Championships as well.

Nine year old canoeist, Lewis Andrews, is the youngest individual that Adam's Foundation has ever sponsored. This year he won the National Marathon Title for under 10's and hopes to become national champion next year in both sprint and marathon racing in the under 12's category.

Ethan Steele has received his first donation from Adam's Foundation as he looks to add to his already impressive list of accolades in Judo. The donation will help him enter more major competitions in both the UK and abroad.

Cyclist, Alice Standish, who travels all over the UK competing in various events and will use the funding to help with travel and accommodation costs. Alice is currently 24th in the Under 16 National Rankings despite still only being 14.

Adam's Foundation has made a significant donation to the both Lincolnshire and Gainsborough District Athletics Team and Lincolnshire Schools' Athletics Team to enable them to compete at the highest possible level this summer including the School Games in Gateshead.

Matthew Bates has received further support as he looks forward to starting at the Royal Ballet Upper School in September. Matthew has spent the previous year as Head Boy at the School and has performed in various productions including the Nutcracker.

Shot Putter, Kieran Tscherniawsky, has received a donation that will go towards his trip to Rio De Janeiro for the Paralympics. This will be Kieran's second Paralympics after competing in London. We wish him all the best!


Nichola Clark has received support as she aims to start competing again at Regional Level in Dressage following her back injury.

Cerebral Palsy athlete, Lee Cupit, has received a donation as he continues to compete in the shot put at international level. Lee is hoping to qualify for the World and European Championships next year and will use the donation to help with competition costs.

Declan Bennett, who is a multiple world champion after last years World Transplant Games, has received support for the European Transplant Games this year in Finland. The swimmer won 7 Medals last year and set 7 world records as well.

Abi Burr has received further support to help with her costs as a swimmer. Abi has recently represented the East Midlands Team in Luxembourg and her aim for this year is to qualify for the British Summer Championships in July and medal at the ASA nationals in August.

Lara Edwards, who competes in dressage, has achieved her dream of gaining a Team GB flag. The support she has gained from Adam's Foundation will go towards lessons and her aim of participating in more international competitions later in the year.

Jacob Boden has received support from the foundation for the first time so he can enter competitions that are classed as ‘essential’ in enabling him to gain the scores required to attend the selection shoot next year which will then allow him to represent GB in Archery. Dedicated athlete Brad Piper, has been supported from Adam's foundation and will use the donation to help with equipment and travel costs. Brad is currently the only U17 sprint Hurdler at LWAC and is working hard to get into the East of England team again.

Adam's Foundation is very pleased to support Woodhall Spa Ladies Hockey Team and has made a donation towards their equipment costs. The club is very welcoming towards new players ages 14+ and is hoping to enter a Summer Hockey League for the first time.

Adam's Foundation has also made a donation to Rachel Belcher who is cycling from London to Paris and to raise money for the CSP Network which will benefit Lincolnshire Sport. The money raised will go towards helping people of all ages with a disability to take part in sport or physical activity. Ethan Grace-Riches has been given support by the foundation to enable him to reach his potential in swimming. Ethan is currently swimming freestyle and back stroke at regional level though he hopes to be competing at Midland and National Level in the near future.

Swimmer, Maya Westlake, has again received funding from the foundation that will go towards travel and accommodation at Pre Olympic Trial camps. The trials for Team GB take place in Glasgow in April and Maya is hoping to make the 4x200m relay team.  

Brad Westlake has also received funding to help with his swimming aspirations. As well as Maya, Brad will use the donation to pay for the costs associated with the Olympic Trials at the start of 2016. 

Triathlete Ryan Whitney, has received support from the foundation to help him achieve his ambitions. Earlier this year, he competed in the World Championships in Chicago and now has aspirations of progressing to national elite triathlon level.

Olivia Leslie, who plays in the Doncaster Belles development squad has received a small donation from the foundation to help with her travel costs. Olivia has a promising future ahead of her in football, especially as the Belles have just been promoted to the Women's Super League!

We are very pleased to sponsor Anna Daly once again as she looks forward to her second year at the Royal Ballet School in London. Anna will receive training that is not available locally and will continue to progress with some of the best facilities in the world. 

Triathlete, Emily Patch, has already represented Team GB at the European Championships this year, finishing 12th in her age category. She now aims to compete at Elite Level and her ambition is to represent GB at the Olympics next year.

Table Tennis player, Nathan Butler, continues to improve and rise up the rankings. In September he will represent the Midlands at the School Games in Manchester.

Emily Moss has received further support to help with her costs as she continues to compete in middle distance athletic events. She also aims to head to Kenya for Altitude training in the Autumn.

Lee Cupit is aiming to compete at the Rio Paralympics next year in the Shot Put. He is currently ranked 6th in the world and with the support of the foundation hopes to improve on this.  

Discus and Shot thrower Kieran Tscherniawsky has been sponsored by the foundation as he continues to compete at the highest level. He aims to represent Team GB at the World Championships in Doha later this year and at Rio in the Paralympics next year. Kieran is currently ranked 6th in the world at Discus and Shot. 

Kieron Smythe, who competes in Judo has received sponsorship from the foundation as he aims to train in Japan with other members of the England Judo team. He aims to compete as a junior in the European and World Championships.

Cyclist, Alice Standish, is aiming to improve her place on the National British Cycling Rankings. Last year she finished 27th nationally in Cyclo Cross 2014/15. Alice is currently attending Derby Arena training towards gaining accreditation so she can compete in Track Events as well.

12 students form the Koku-Ryu Martial Arts Club in Brigg have been selected to represent England at the World Championships in the UK in October and then head to Benidorm in November. Adam's foundation will proudly support them in their quest for success.

The Lincolnshire Schools Athletics Team received support before they travelled up to Gateshead for the National School Games. The team won 2 Gold medals and several bronze medals. This included a bronze medal for Georgina Adam who Adam's foundation has previously sponsored in the 200m. As a team Lincolnshire won the "C" Counties trophy.

Matthew Bates has received further support from the foundation as he continues to shine at the Royal Ballet School in London. In the past three years Matt has performed in Sleeping Beauty, La Syphide and The Nutcracker. This is a superb achievement as there are only 12 places available for boys each year.

Athlete, Ashley Sandall, has been supported by the foundation and will use the donation to help with travel and equipment costs. Ashley's aims for the next 12 months are to break into the top 5 at Under 20 level for the 400m and also to represent England or GB.

Adam's foundation has supported Lara Dyson, who competes in Dressage. The donation will go towards training with Olympic Gold Medalist, Charlotte Dujardin amongst other costs. Lara is only two levels off the top GB level which would give her a chance of competing in the GB team.

Athlete, Georgina Adam, has received funding from the foundation to help with her competition and equipment costs as she aims to maintain a place in the UK top 3 at 200m. After setting a PB of 24.96 last year, Georgina was nominated for Young Sportswoman of the Year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards.

Jack Hodgson has gained further support from the foundation as he hopes to attend the British Judo Centre of Excellence in Walsall on a more regular basis. Jack has a long term aim of attending 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio De Janeiro and recently won the Young Disabled Sports Person of the Year at the Lincolnshire Sports Awards.

The foundation is very pleased to support Megan Brewer once again after she successfully gained a place at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. Megan, from Lincoln, has a long term aim of travelling and performing as part of a contemporary dance company before setting up a dance company in her own right.

The foundation has strengthened it's ties with the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership by sponsoring six athletes on its Lincolnshire Elite Athlete Programme (LEAP) in 2015. The six youngsters who compete at regional and national level will be part of a new level named after Adam's foundation.
