Dinghy Sailing
Training is carried out in Toppers, Laser Picos, Mirrors, Wayfarers and depending on requirements 420 and ISO dinghies. All equipment (wetsuits, buoyancy aids) can be provided during training for those who need it.
Youth Training
Youth training will take place on Wednesday evenings from the 14th of April until the 8th of September. The club house opens at 5pm. Please arrive no later than 5.45pm as we aim to get on the water for 6pm and come off the water for 8pm.
The courses will be stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 and Start Racing and Seamanship Skills. The cost is £14 for a years membership and then £4 per session to cover the use of the boat.
An assessment period at Covenham for youth members that require Youth Stage training/assessments is being run during the summer break.
The dates are: 8th - 13th August 2010 and 16th - 18th August 2010 .
The cost of the Youth Stage 1 and 2 is £40.00. Stage 3 = £40.00. Stage 4 = £40.00. Booking forms are available at the office or from stephenlloyd@talktalk.net Cheques payable to Covenham Sailing Club.
Covenham Sailing Club - Youth Members Course Dates August 2010.
The following dates are for youth members (Sailing) who wish participate in a formal RYA course.

When do I need to be there?
Courses assemble at 0915hrs and disperse at 1600hrs on each day
Do I need to bring anything with me?
You will need to bring a packed lunch.
You may also need to bring something warm to wear during off water periods. Sun block may also be required.
You may bring your parents but they are not obligatory and must be left on shore during on water sessions.
Log books will be provided to all students

Adult Sailing Courses
Adult training will take place on Saturdays. The courses will be level 1 and level 2 initially. Each course takes two days, so a combined course will take 4 Saturdays. Level 2 is needed in most circumstances to hire dinghies from sailing clubs and while on holiday.
We are offering both National Sailing Scheme courses level 1 and 2 for £195.00. As a special offer for this year, for those who wish to enrol on one of our combined courses, we will include membership of Covenham Sailing Club for 2010 (normally £147) as part of the package.
Each NSS course will run over two consecutive Saturdays from 0900 - 1600hrs
Once level 2 is achieved, then Club Training boats can be hired at very reasonable rates.

RYA Powerboat 2
A course is to be run over 2 Saturdays, 7th and 14th August 2010, starting at 0900. Cost £120.00 NOW FULLY BOOKED,
however we can still take names of anyone who is interested and they can either be put on a reserve list or we can run another course in the near future if there is sufficient demand.
All equipment can be provided.
