Coaches , Judges & Welfare Officers
The Club’s coaching team is lead by Head Coach, Melissa Clough who is a fully qualified British Gymnastics Coach supported by Coaches, Faye Hobday, Abi Haw and Christina Cheyette, as well as Assistant Coaches and voluntary helpers including Jayne Hobday, Tara Slater, Pat Clough, Ellie Fellows, Sophie Clark, Carla Minta, Emma Vincent & Matthew Ruffle and Ursula Mallendar.
Melissa and Faye have undertaken all the Level 3 Club Coach award modules.
Melissa and the coaching team are happy to mentor all volunteer helpers, parents and any older gymnasts or ex-gymnasts who want to undertake and obtain a coaching award.
The Club currently boasts three BG Regional Judges, Pat Clough, Tara Slater and Ursula Mallendar. They all regularly judge for the Club at both County and Regional competitions and assist and advise the coaching team with regards to rule changes etc. They are happy to mentor any parents, volunteer helpers, older or ex-gymnasts who are interested in judging and obtaining a judging qualification.
Jo Oldham and Donna Fellows are the Club’s Welfare Officers and have both attended the Time to Listen and Safeguarding & Protecting Children courses required for them to be qualified in this post.
All the club’s Coaches, Judges and Welfare Officers are insured through British Gymnastics, have Disclosure & Barring Services (DBS) enhanced clearance and have attended Safeguarding & Protecting Children courses.
