Bardney Health

  • 1348 The Plague (Black Death) came to Bardney. It claimed the lives of 17 people.
  • 1908 A Diphtheria epidemic affected many pupils at the schools.
  • 1912 Whooping Cough and Jaundice affected many children.
  • 1914 Chicken Pox, Measles and Mumps caused the schools to close. 21 cases of Measles were reported.
  • 2001 A new Surgery was built on Horncastle Road.
  • 2010 The Health Centre (Manor Close) was demolished in July, to make way for two cottages.
