Charter for Trees, Woods and People - Short Video created with Woodland Trust and Nationwide

During the past year, The Bythams Woodland Trust (BWT) has been working very closely with the  Woodland Trust on a number of woodland related projects.

The BWT is recognised as one of the Charter Champions in a national campaign that will be celebrated later this year as part of the Charter for Trees, Woods and People. We have been wanting to get your stories about why you enjoy  coming to the Spinney or for you to tell us your favourite tree or woodland experience and we have a special event coming up on February 11th, just before Valentine’s Day, where you can show your love once again. Further details will be made available soon.

We are also recognised as an important Community Woodland project where,  as local people,  we manage and maintain the Spinney for wider public access and benefit. We think that we have quite a unique site where you can do things you can’t in any other woodland place.

With the support of the Woodland Trust and the Nationwide Building Society, we are pleased to show  a short video  that has been made of the work we do.

We would very much like to thank the teachers and children of The Bythams School for their help in making the video and also the Spinney volunteers.

We hope you like what you see!
